Speaking at the Dykaan College graduation ceremony held at Ndumberi Stadium, Dr. Hezekiah Kariuki, Founder, MD, and CEO of Together As One and Comfort Homes, encouraged youth to embrace technical courses as a pathway to career success, wealth creation, and prosperity.
Highlighting the potential of fields like catering and food technology, Dr. Kariuki described their ability to propel entrepreneurs to significant achievements. “My message to the graduates is simple: Don’t compare yourself to anyone. Start where you are, apply the knowledge you’ve gained, and with patience and determination, you’ll emerge victorious,” he said.
Dr. Kariuki’s remarks align with ongoing government efforts to enhance the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. These initiatives aim to improve access to TVET programs and ensure their relevance to market demands through partnerships with industries in curriculum development, assessment, and industrial practice.
With his emphasis on self-reliance and the benefits of technical skills, Dr. Kariuki reinforced the importance of TVET programs in building prosperous futures for Kenya’s youth.
