Nairobi, Kenya – The city of Nairobi is making history as it hosts the 4th International Theoretical Conference (Theocon), marking a significant moment in global revolutionary discourse. Co-organized by the Communist Party Marxist Kenya (CPMK), the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP), and the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), the two-day conference is underway from May 23 to 24, 2025.

This groundbreaking event has convened 110 delegates – 57 from international movements and 53 representing Kenyan workers, peasants, youth, and progressive intellectuals. It is the first time such a major anti-imperialist and Marxist-Leninist conference is being hosted on African soil.

Under the theme “Bureaucratic and Comprador Capitalism in the Neocolonies,” participants are engaging in deep theoretical analysis and forging strategies to intensify global resistance against imperialism, neocolonialism, and capitalist exploitation.

“This conference is not academic; it is revolutionary. It is not symbolic; it is strategic,” declared Booker Omole, General Secretary of CPMK. “We are charting a clear and militant path toward international socialist transformation.”

Key discussions focus on class contradictions, the socioeconomic value of organized resistance, and the advancement of proletarian internationalism. The conference is expected to produce resolutions that will translate into coordinated, grassroots-driven actions across continents.

That Nairobi—an emerging hub of finance capital in East Africa—is hosting such a convergence is seen as a powerful statement. It underscores a growing shift in revolutionary momentum toward the Global South, especially Africa.

Convened just days ahead of African Liberation Day 2025, Theocon is a bold reaffirmation of international solidarity and a commitment to global emancipation and sovereignty.

The Communist Party Marxist Kenya has reiterated its steadfast dedication to the liberation of all oppressed peoples and the construction of a just, socialist future.
