As the push and pull regarding the bbi process currently facing legal battles,the Garisa town Mp Aden Duale has revelaed wat awaits iebc after 8th of August this year.
According to the former majority leader in the national assembly,says that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission won’t be able to do boundaries delimitation after the 8th of August this year.
“Article 89(2) as read with (4). Clearly stipulates that Constituency delimitation can not be undertaken by @IEBCKenya after the 8th of August, 2021,”Duale wrote on his Social media platform.
The BBI appeal might go up to the Supreme Court and this means it will be impossible to have a referendum before August this year.
The chances of the Court of Appeal to overturn the High Court ruling is low.
This comes after the Court of Appeal held a conference meeting with both parties on Wensday to discuss how they will handle the BBI appeal case after a petition by Attorney General Paul Kihara.
The two handshake Principals lost in the first round after the court of appeal revealed that the case hearing will start on the 29th of this month.
The hearing will be done in four consecutive days, which means the case hearing will end on 2nd July.
The seven Judges of the High Court will then retreat to write their judgments,this means the case could run till August.
