With the steady growth of the gin category in Kenya over the recent years, the introduction of the new variant is in line with KBL’s business strategy to dominate the gin market across mainstream, premium and reserve categories.
With the gin category increasing in craft and novelty, the distributor product training sessions also serve to equip the distributors with product knowledge to accommodate the discerning consumers’ changing tastes and preferences.
“We appreciate the unwavering role distributors have and continue to play in providing our customers with brand experiences that lead to happiness and wellness. These are long-term investments for us,” said Innovations Brand Manager, Victoria Mbugua during the distributor launch that took place at the Trademark Hotel in Nairobi.
Currently, Gilbey’s mixed berries gin is the most affordable gin in the market among its peers with a price point of Ksh 1250/-, 630/- and 430/- in 250ml, 350ml and 750ml bottles respectively.
Following the regional distributor launches, Gilbey’s Mixed Berries is listed in all major distributor outlets in the country and will be available in selected on-trade and off-trade channels with the aim of having national coverage by end of December 2021.
