Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala is the most preferred candidate in the 2022 Kakamega Gubernatorial race at the moment, a new survey by Mizani Africa shows.
The research conducted has ranked Malala first with 28%,the lawmaker was followed by former senator Bony Khalwale,while ketraco ceo Fernandez Barasa was ranked third with 15% while Lugari Mp Ayub Savula came in a distant fourth with 14%.

The outgoing governor Oparanya has not officially endorsed anyone to occupy his office ,but word is his rooting for his deputy governor Phylip Kutima to take over.
