Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has reiterated calls that Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka must be Raila Odinga’s running mate in the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition.
Sonko has stated that the Wiper Party leader is the second senior most person in the coalition, noting that his ticket with Raila is capable of delivering victory in the August 9 polls.
” Steven Kalonzo Musyoka must be the next Deputy President in the next government.There is no turning back,no fearing again and no more negotiations on that,” Sonko said
He said this during a Wiper aspirant’s meeting in Nairobi.
Sonko drummed up support for Kalonzo where he heaped praises on him.He hailed Kalonzo for his humility and accepting to sacrifice his ambitions for three consecutive times in support of Raila Odinga.
” He is a man of respect and honor and that is why we must all rally behind him in whatever decision he makes,” Sonko added.
He further added that he is fully going to support Azimio La Umoja one Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga.Sonko called on all Wiper leaders to fully support Kalonzo’s resolve to work with Raila Odinga.
” The direction he has taken is what we will all follow and we are going to give full commitment,”
He said that he is confident the Azimio brigade will topple Kenya Kwanza in the general elections
