The Kajiado Muslim Community on Saturday endorsed the reelection of Governor Joseph Ole Lenku whom they termed as a visionary and development oriented leader.
Muslim leaders in the county said that Lenku has proved to be a peacemaker who has helped harness harmony among different communities living in the cosmopolitan county.
Lenku joined the Muslim faithful for Iftar celebrations in Kajiado town.
” The Muslim Community remains an integral part of our county.As they observe the Holy Month of Ramadhan,we stand with them and promise that we shall continue engaging them in development matters,”
Lenku promised to incorporate more Muslims in his government,noting that Kajiado will not discriminate against any religion or tribe.
The governor also called on Kajiado residents to rally behind Azimio La Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga.
Lenku has been touted as favourite to clinch the Kajiado seat despite tough opposition from Jubilee’s David Nkedianye and UDA’s Katoo Ole Metito.
Lenku is record declaring Kajiado an Azimio La Umoja zone and has vowed to ensure ODM wins majority seats in the county
