Nairobi Mcas have warned Govenor Johnson Sakaja’s administration that they will not sit back and watch helpless Nairobi residents being grabbed off their plots .
Led by Planning Committee chairman Alvin Palapala, the ward reps said with the recent demolition of ahouse in Westlands will be the last case of land Grabbing in the city.
“We want to assure our people that,we are investigating this matter and justice will prevail ,and no any other person will ever go through this,”Mca Palapala said.
The Mcas further called upon Sakaja’s administration to protect Nairobi residents from any form of Impunity.
This comes even as the affected Westlands family appeared before the planning Committee to shed light more on what transpired over their demolition.
It was also revealed that,chief valuer Nairobi County government Mr Wanyoike said that the controversial plot file was missing at cityhall, hence making it difficult to ascertain who the real owners was.
A teary Avani Shah said his family had been in that land for 46 years, and it has been his home for the last 22 years.
