Nakuru governor Susan Kihika has come to the rescue of John Munyes, a man who has endured the harsh realities of homelessness for two long decades.
Munyes had been residing on the streets of Salgaa shopping center in Mosop Ward, Nakuru County, struggling to survive the relentless challenges of homelessness.
Mr Munyes life-changing event unfolded when a compassionate team, led by Gladys Kamuren, the Chief Officer of Social Protection under Governor Kihika’s administration, and Governor Kihika’s coordinator, Mr. Mandela, decided to take action.
Speaking, Chief Officer Madam Gladys Kamuren expressed the county government’s unwavering commitment to assisting the less fortunate members of the community.

She praised Governor Susan Kihika for her compassionate leadership in Nakuru County and called upon locals to rally behind her administration to fulfill its campaign promises.
“We have rescued Munyes from the harsh streets and placed him under the care of the Nakuru County Government,” Madam Kamuren announced triumphantly.
Governor Kihika’s administration, through its Social Protection initiatives, has consistently worked towards improving the lives of the local population.
Last year, Governor Kihika came to the aid of a 75-year-old woman named Tabitha, who was unjustly incarcerated at Nyahururu Women’s Prison.
Tabitha, along with her three sons, had been arrested on allegations of occupying land owned by another individual.
Tabitha’s plight deeply moved Governor Kihika, prompting her to take swift action.
She pledged to send a lawyer to facilitate the release of Tabitha and her children, stating unequivocally, “This is not right.”
