Two suspected land fraudsters were on Monday arraigned at Milimani law court and charged with four counts including conspiracy to defraud a land parcel worth 40 million Kenyan Shillings.
The two Eric Munene Mate and Kelvin Mugambi Muthe however pleaded not guilty to all the counts before Milimani Magistrate Susan Shitubi who released them on a cash bail of two million each pending the hearing and determination of the matter.
It is alleged that unknown place with unknown place within the Republic of Kenya jointly with others not before the court they conspire to M/S PLACID VIEW LIMITED of a parcel of land LR.209/10991 IR 45896 measuring about 0.0590 hectares of land located at Imara Daima within Nairobi county valued at 40,000,000 Kenya Shillings.
In another count the two were charged with forgery of a land title deed contrary to section 350(1) of the Pinal Cap 60 of the law of Kenya.
“That at unknown place and dates within the Republic of Kenya jointly with others not before the court you jointly intend to defraud M/S PLACID VIEW LIMITED a parcel of land LR.209/0.590 hectares of land located at Imara Daima within Nairobi by forged a document namely certificate of title IR 45896 for LR 209/10991 purporting to be a genuine certificate of title issued by the ministry of land ardhi house Nairobi a fact you knew to be false” read the chargesheet.
