Nairobi County Assembly MCAs are accusing the police of harassing Nairobi County Government staff.
According to the MCAs, this alleged mistreatment is perceived as a deliberate strategy to eventually apprehend Governor Johnson Sakaja.
Majority Chief Whip Moses Ogeto, leading the accusations, claims that a new development has unfolded, with an unidentified vehicle closely tailing Sakaja’s Chief of Staff, David Njoroge, for several days.
Ogeto suggests that the motive behind this persistent surveillance is a potential abduction.
“Let them cease the intimidation; they are well aware of the governor’s whereabouts. We do not want them to harass and threaten junior staff when they know exactly where Sakaja is,” remarked Ogeto.
Adding to the tension, another member of Sakaja’s team, Osman Khalif, was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen, further escalating concerns about the safety of the governor and his associates.
