Member of County Assembly Kennedy Oyugi has been elected as the new Water Committee chairman.

Oyugi is serving his second term as the ward representative for Highrise Ward.
Oyugi was elected unopposed by a total of nineteen 19 members.
The water committee was disbanded last week after corruption scandal that marred the then chair Redson Otieno was unleashed.
“I promise to work with everyone and bring this committee a new breath. It is not about me but the Assembly as a whole. I shall perform my work delligently as provided in the constitution,” Oyugi said briefly after his victory.
