Women Rep Leah Sankaire and PS Ummi Bashir Launch Modern Ablution Block in Kajiado

Hon. Leah Sankaire, Women Representative for Kajiado, joined Principal Secretary for Culture, Arts, and Heritage, Ummi Bashir, over the weekend in Dalalekutuk ward, Kajiado Central, for the launch of a modern ablution block donated by the Al-Huda Muslim Primary School alumni, led by the PS.

PS Bashir emphasized the importance of proper sanitation in schools for the health and wellbeing of students. “As alumni of Al-Huda Muslim Primary School in Kajiado Central constituency, we came together to upgrade the sanitary facilities which were in dilapidated conditions,” she noted.

Hon. Sankaire expressed her gratitude to the PS and all Al-Huda Primary School alumni for their efforts in improving the lives of the children and creating a conducive learning environment. She highlighted her commitment to ensuring girls remain in school by providing sanitary pads. “In line with dignifying the lives of our school-going children, I will be distributing sanitary towels to all primary schools in Kajiado County beginning next week,” she announced.
