Kenya Railway boss Mainga Taken to Court over Corruption.

An Activist has filed a petition seeking the removal of the Kenya Railways boss Philip Mainga,for alleged illegal and Uncprocedural construction of the commuter rail intended to link the Mombasa main town and the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) terminus in Maritini.

The activist is blaming the Railways Corporation and China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).

The MD is being blamed for flouting the Physical and Lands Using Planning Act.

He is accused of allowing the development without the approval of the County Government of Mombasa.

The corporation is accused of neglecting advice from key state agencies.

The Railways Corporation is being accused of swindling millions of shillings in the project that has alot of questions in relation to procurement procedures.

The Activist Bakari Issa Mohammed says the project was done without public participation as required per the law and that KRC disregarded recommendations from the Public Service Commission thus violating article 230 of the constitution.

The petitioner wants Kenya Railways stopped from going on with construction of the property.
