In a bid to foster greater inclusivity and address the pressing needs of the younger generation, Othaya Constituency Member of Parliament, Honorable Wambugu Wainaina, popularly known as Mt. Kenya, held a productive and interactive meeting with the Gen Z community at his constituency office hall on Saturday morning.

During the meeting, the forthright MP sought to understand and address the concerns of the youth. Representatives of the Gen Z community articulated their needs, focusing primarily on the demand for representation and inclusivity in decision-making processes.

Hon. Wainaina, known for his results-oriented leadership, attentively noted down all the suggestions presented by the youth. He promised to consider and integrate their requests into his plans, emphasizing the importance of their eloquence and the critical issues they raised, particularly in calling for good governance, accountability, and respect for the rule of law.

“I am heartened by the eloquence and passion with which our youth have articulated their concerns. It is a testament to their commitment to good governance and accountability. I promise to take their suggestions seriously and work towards their implementation,” Wainaina stated.

Addressing the youth of Nyeri County, MP Wainaina pledged to enhance technological advancement, improve currency management, support sports, provide bursaries, and promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) through the national government board.

The engagement with Gen Z is part of Wainaina’s broader strategy to ensure that the voices of the younger generation are heard and considered in the decision-making processes that affect their future.
