An activist has taken urged Keproba accountant to court for holding a public office without the necessary qualifications.
Francis Kiragu, an accountant at the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA), is under scrutiny following allegations regarding his qualifications.
Kiragu has worked for KEPROBA for over twenty-five years but reportedly lacks the required credentials for his role as Senior Officer Finance.
In a petition filed before the high Court , activist Francis Awino argues that Mr Kiragu’s accounting background is questionable, forming the basis of his ouster in office.
In the petition Mr Awino has also claimed that Mr Kiragu only holds a certificate in telephone operations hence he has no capacity to hold matters related with finance at the government agency.
