Coca-Cola’s KachingChing na Coke promotion has made a significant impact in just two months, rewarding over 1.3 million Kenyans with a total of Ksh 122 million.
As the campaign enters its ninth week, nine winners have become instant millionaires, underscoring the promotion’s far-reaching influence.
The #KachingChingnaCoke campaign aims to distribute a total of Ksh 163 million to over 2 million winners by the end of August. “In previous years, we have offered trips and shopping vouchers. Considering the difficult economic times that Kenyans are facing, we decided to not only offer cash prizes but triple our previous reward amounts to directly impact our consumers’ lives. We know that this will directly transform the lives of our customers,” said Theuri Chege, Country Manager of Coca-Cola Kenya.
The structure of the promotion is designed to benefit a broad spectrum of consumers. Each week, Ksh 1 million is awarded to one grand winner, while 35 winners receive Ksh 10,000, and thousands of daily winners earn amounts ranging from Ksh 50 to Ksh 100. As of now, nine individuals have become millionaires, with four more expected by the campaign’s conclusion in August.
Winners of the grand prize have hailed from diverse regions, including Nairobi, Kajiado, Mombasa, Homa Bay, and Kericho counties. Phoebe Nafula, the first recipient of the Ksh 1 million weekly grand prize, was announced when the promotion began in May this year.
Mr. Chege highlighted the campaign’s broader purpose: “As a company, we are driven by our purpose to refresh the world and make a difference. We hope these cash prizes can be a catalyst for transformation in the lives of our consumers, which is the essence of this campaign.”
Participation in the KachingChing na Coke promotion is simple. Consumers need to purchase Coca-Cola beverages in 200ml, 300ml, or 500ml returnable glass bottles and look under the metal crown for a unique code. By sending this code via SMS to 40111, customers stand a chance to win. The promotion encompasses a variety of Coca-Cola products, including different Fanta brands, Sprite, Krest, Stoney, and Schweppes.
With the campaign still ongoing, Coca-Cola continues to refresh and positively impact the lives of millions of Kenyans through this substantial initiative.
