Kenya to Host Inaugural WCF Africa Summit in June 2025

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has been selected to host the inaugural World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit in June 2025. The decision, officially revealed by WCF Chair Mr. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu on July 26, 2024, marks a significant milestone for Kenya and the KNCCI.

Dr. Erick Rutto, President of the KNCCI, shared his excitement and gratitude in a press release. He emphasized that the selection of Nairobi as the host city followed a highly competitive bidding process, underscoring Kenya’s robust efforts and the unwavering support of its partners.

“This prestigious event is a landmark achievement for Kenya and KNCCI,” Dr. Rutto stated. “Our successful bid is a testament to the robust efforts of KNCCI and the unwavering support of our partners.”

The WCF Africa Summit is set to be a pivotal event, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Africa and beyond to foster dialogue, collaboration, and economic growth. Historically, the WCF has organized influential Summits globally, and for the first time, Africa will have the honor of hosting this significant event.

Dr. Rutto anticipates that the Summit will attract over 4,500 participants from more than 70 countries, including key stakeholders from various sectors. This gathering will signal to the world Kenya’s confidence as a regional hub and the strength of its private sector. It will also highlight Kenya’s critical role in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and underscore its position as a key investment destination.

“Hosting the WCF Africa Summit is a monumental opportunity for Kenya,” Dr. Rutto remarked. “It will draw in investors, create opportunities for trade and partnerships, and significantly boost our tourism and hospitality sectors.”

KNCCI is committed to collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of the Summit.
