Survey Ranks Nairobi County Members of Parliament Based on Performance

A recent survey released by Topnewskenya has ranked Members of Parliament (MPs) from Nairobi County based on their performance, revealing the top performers among the county’s 17 constituencies.

Leading the list is Embakasi Central MP, Benjamin Gathiru, popularly known as Major Donk, who secured the highest popularity rating with 63.5%. His strong performance has positioned him at the forefront among his peers, reflecting the confidence and support he enjoys from his constituents.

Following closely is Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, with a popularity rating of 63.1%. Known for his vocal advocacy for youth empowerment and justice, Babu Owino’s second-place ranking underscores his rising influence in Nairobi County politics.

Westlands MP, Tim Wanyonyi, claimed the third spot with a 62.4% rating. Wanyonyi, a seasoned politician, has consistently been recognized for his efforts in improving his constituency and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.

Makadara MP, George Aladwa Omwera, came in fourth with a 61.9% rating, while Dagoretti North MP, Beatrice Elachi, rounded out the top five with a 60.1% rating. Elachi’s focus on social welfare and her efforts to enhance education infrastructure have earned her significant support.

The survey covered all 17 constituencies in Nairobi County, which include Starehe, Kamukunji, Makadara, Roysambu, Kibra, Embakasi North, Embakasi Central, Embakasi West, Embakasi South, Embakasi East, Lang’ata, Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, Ruaraka, Westlands, Mathare, and Kasarani.

This ranking highlights the MPs’ performance and the level of satisfaction among their constituents, offering insights into the political landscape of Nairobi County
