In a move to bolster local employment and economic growth, the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) in Kirinyaga County has intensified efforts to prepare the Mwea East Welders Association for their participation in the fabrication of market stalls under the Economic Stimulus Program (ESP) in Kimbimbi, Mwea East.
The MSEA Kirinyaga office has linked the association with GT Global, whose representative sensitized members on the Jiinue Growth Program, an initiative by the Mastercard Foundation. This program aims to empower small businesses by providing them with essential resources and knowledge to scale their operations.
In addition to this, the MSEA has invited the welders and other micro and small enterprises (MSEs) to a capacity-building forum scheduled for August 21, 2024, in Mwea Town. The forum will focus on Business Development Services (BDS) and life skills training, equipping participants with the tools necessary to enhance their business practices and improve their livelihoods.
These initiatives reflect the ongoing commitment to strengthening local enterprises in Kirinyaga County, ensuring they are well-positioned to take advantage of government programs and other growth opportunities.
