Lugari, Kenya – Lugari Constituency MP, Nabwera Daraja Nabii, is set to unveil a new educational initiative, Operation Reduce the Tail, aimed at improving the academic performance of low-performing secondary school students across the constituency.

This initiative, fully funded by the MP, is designed to address the specific needs of students who are struggling academically in a bid to enhance their performance in the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.

The program will include a two-day workshop, scheduled for Friday, 6th September, and Saturday, 8th September 2024, and will be held at two key locations:

  • Matete Subcounty: Maturu Secondary School
  • Lugari Subcounty: Bishop Sulumeti Girls’ High School, Lumakanda

The workshops will be overseen by the Lugari Constituency Academic Committee, which will tailor the sessions to address the unique challenges faced by these students. This targeted approach reflects the MP’s commitment to raising the overall quality of education in Lugari Constituency, with a particular focus on ensuring that no student is left behind.

This latest effort follows the successful completion of an intensive Creaming Programme, which was held at Kivaywa Boys and Archbishop Njenga Girls’ High Schools, aimed at bolstering the performance of high-achieving students. By supporting both ends of the academic spectrum, MP Nabii is demonstrating a comprehensive strategy to uplift education standards within the constituency.

“Operation Reduce the Tail” is part of a broader initiative by the MP to ensure that all students in Lugari have the resources and support they need to succeed. Nabii’s commitment to education remains unwavering as he continues to work towards creating a brighter future for all students in the region.
