The conference, which featured influential voices such as Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba, Hon. Millicent Alooh, Hon. Omanyo, Hon. Njeri Maina, and Senator Beth Siengo, served as a platform for meaningful discussions on advancing women’s rights and increasing their representation in political and societal spheres.

Passaris noted the transformative potential of women coming together for collective action, stating, “The tribe of women have great potential to bring women together for such transformative engagements.” She emphasized that achieving gender equality requires not only policy changes but also a cultural shift towards recognizing and valuing women’s contributions to all areas of life.

The conference, organized by Hon. Martha Karua, provided a crucial opportunity for women leaders to collaborate on strategies for enhancing women’s roles in both politics and the broader community. By sharing their experiences and insights, these leaders aim to pave the way for more inclusive and equitable practices that benefit the entire nation.

Hon. Passaris’ call to action reflects a growing consensus that empowering women and girls is not only a matter of justice but also a fundamental driver of national progress. As Kenya continues to advance on its path towards equality, the contributions of leaders like Passaris and her colleagues will be instrumental in shaping a more inclusive and prosperous future.
