Nairobi, Kenya — Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary, Rebecca Miano, EGH, has lauded Kenyan athletes for their outstanding performances in the Diamond League Finals held in Brussels. The athletes once again demonstrated Kenya’s dominance on the world stage, particularly in athletics, enhancing the nation’s reputation in sports tourism.

“Kenyans exhibited nothing but class in the Diamond League Final Friday night in Brussels,” said CS Miano. “Congratulations to Mary Moraa for powering through to win the women’s 800m race and taking home the Diamond Trophy. You’re simply amazing.”

Miano also commended Amos Serem for his stellar performance in the men’s 3000m steeplechase, where he stunned the field to emerge victorious. Timothy Cheruiyot, a Kenyan middle-distance running star, was also acknowledged for his impressive second-place finish in the men’s 1500m.
“Well done to Amos Serem for his win, and big up to Timothy Cheruiyot for coming second in the 1500m. To every Kenyan who has participated in the Diamond League circuit this season, hongera sana. We are proud of you,” added Miano.
