Polls have ranked Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti as the best-performing governor in Kenya. A survey conducted by Microtrak Africa revealed that Wavinya secured 78 percent, placing her at the top.
She is closely followed by Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata, Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.
On the other hand, the poll ranked Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika, and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja as the least-performing county leaders.
Wavinya’s top ranking is attributed to her successful initiatives in transforming Machakos County, particularly in health, empowerment, and finance. The pollster also noted that if elections were held today, Wavinya would likely be re-elected.
“Wavinya has excelled in various areas and dispelled numerous narratives,” Microtrak stated in the survey.
