Kenya Wildlife Service Triumphs at Nairobi International Trade Fair, Announces Free Park Entry

Nairobi, 24th September 2024 — The Nairobi International Trade Fair (NITF) kicked off on 23rd September at the Jamhuri Showground, with the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture & Trade Initiatives” setting the tone for this year’s event. Among the participants, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) emerged as a standout, securing victories in four of the five categories it entered.

KWS won first place in two prestigious categories: Best Stand that Interprets the Current 2024 Show Theme (Non-Agro Based) and Best Stand in Tourism, Tours, and Travel. In addition, the organization took second place in the Best Non-Agricultural Statutory Board Stand and Best Energy Services and Conservation Sector Stand categories.

The Kenya Wildlife Service’s award-winning stand has become a must-visit for attendees eager to engage with the team and learn more about the country’s conservation efforts. The organization’s involvement highlights its commitment to blending tourism and environmental conservation with innovative approaches to energy conservation and wildlife protection.

In a special announcement, KWS also invited the public to enjoy free entry to all national parks, reserves, and sanctuaries on Saturday, 28th September 2024. The offer is an opportunity for Kenyans to explore the country’s rich natural heritage and experience the wonders of Kenya’s wildlife.

Led by Director General Dr. Erustus Kanga, KWS continues to play a crucial role in protecting Kenya’s biodiversity and promoting eco-friendly tourism. “We are proud to be recognized at the Nairobi International Trade Fair and encourage all Kenyans to join us in preserving our natural resources,” said Dr. Kanga.
