Kirinyaga, Kenya — September 26, 2024 — Mwea MP Mary Maingi emphasized the power of unity among women and the impact of female leadership during the G7 Kirinyaga Chapter activation held today at Kianyaga Stadium in Gichugu Constituency. The event brought together a diverse group of women leaders and government officials, showcasing the growing influence of women in Kenya’s political and social spheres.
Addressing the attendees, MP Maingi stated, “When women unite, remarkable things happen. A nation led by visionary women is destined for greatness.” She highlighted the critical role that women play in uplifting their communities and driving meaningful change. “A woman, as a leader, has a mission to uplift the community they serve and to bring meaningful change for the people they represent,” she added.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including the Patron Dr. Mama Ida Odinga, County Governors, Deputy Governors, Members of the National Assembly, County Assembly representatives, and other government officials. Their presence underscored the importance of the occasion and the collective commitment to advancing women’s leadership across the nation.
Maingi expressed optimism about the future, noting that the gathering of such influential women leaders signals that Kenya is headed in the right direction. “Seeing all of us together means our country is headed in the right direction,” she remarked.
