Kirinyaga, Kenya — October 2, 2024 — Kirinyaga County Assembly Speaker Muteti Murimi welcomed students from Sagana Secondary School to the assembly chambers on Tuesday as part of a community outreach initiative aimed at fostering educational growth and civic awareness. The students attended a live plenary session, where they observed the legislative process firsthand.
Following the session, the students participated in a mentorship program conducted by Honorable Members of the Assembly, who shared insights on how education plays a crucial role in their future success and contributions to society. “This experience is designed to show students the importance of education and how it empowers them to become valuable members of their communities,” said Speaker Murimi.
Later in the day, Speaker Murimi received a courtesy visit from the Director of Industrialization and his team from the State Department of Industrialization. The delegation will work closely with the county to review key legislative and policy documents aimed at advancing Kirinyaga’s industrial sector.
