Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha has launched a major initiative to support education and small businesses in Kiambu East, offering much-needed relief to residents.

Through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), Wamuratha awarded bursaries and scholarships to students from Thika, Gatundu South, Gatundu North, Juja, Ruiru, and Kiambu to ease education costs.

At the same event, local entrepreneurs received essential tools, including umbrellas, hair dryers, bodaboda canopies, and trolleys for egg and sausage vendors, aimed at helping small businesses thrive.

Wamuratha described the initiative as a step toward empowering communities and driving sustainable development. “This is about creating opportunities for self-reliance and growth,” she said.

The event, attended by community members and leaders, showcased the impact of NGAAF programs, sparking optimism among beneficiaries and reinforcing Wamuratha’s dedication to improving livelihoods in Kiambu County.
