Section of MCAs warn Kitisuru MCA Palapala against dragging Sakaja’s name into personal woe
The unfortunate beating and body harm suffered by Kitisuru MCA Alvin Palapala has divided the opinion at the County Assembly, with a section of MCAs now intimating that the incident may have been triggered by the MCAs personal dealings outside City Hall.

The MCAs who spoke on Tuesday evening shared empathy with their colleague, but opined that it was premature of him to link governor Sakaja to the incident.
On Tuesday morning, Mr. Palapala in the company of three other MCAs addressed the media where he complained that unknown goons attacked him along Kenyatta avenue on Monday evening.
He linked this to his recent remarks against the leadership of Governor Johnson Sakaja,which he thinks may have rubbed senior officers at the county the wrong way.
However, according the MCAs who spoke on request of anonymity because of their working relationship at the assembly, the MCAs ordeal at the hands of the goons emanated from his private dealings as the chairperson of the planning committee.
“ I can tell you that this is a deal gone soar especially now that we have read reports of a business tycoon who was after him over a bribery claim,” a UDA elected MCA
The MCA said the working relationship between the governor and Mr.Palapala has been cordial and that there is no way it could be ruined by one day of criticism
“ We have all at one point criticized the governor and we have even seen our colleague post corruption claims on his social media pages but no one has ever beaten or harassed him,”
A nominated MCA on her part claimed it is either Mr. Palapala is play acting or was beaten by people he has been running away from for a while.
“That the governor can organise people to beat him in the CBD just because he said bursaries have delayed? She questioned adding: “ I have called out the governor on the floor of the house and posted criticism against him but I walk freely in town,”
A search on the county website shows that the county has done various projects in Kitisuru among them Kibarage Road,Mwimuto footbridge,construction of ECDE classes among many others.
