Free Medical Camp Brings Vital Healthcare Services to Othaya Residents

Residents of Othaya, Nyeri County, are benefiting from a free medical camp organized by the Ministry of Health in partnership with the Kiruga Thuku Foundation, The Chronic Diseases Society Africa, and the Nyeri County Government.
The camp, hosted at Munene Kairu Centre, runs from January 20 to 23, 2025, offering a wide range of essential healthcare services. These include SHA/TAIFA Care registration, cancer screening, and treatment for arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, orthopedic conditions, dental and eye care, nutrition services, and ENT consultations.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to bringing healthcare closer to underserved communities, aligning with Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) goals,” said a Ministry of Health representative.
The camp aims to address immediate healthcare needs while promoting early detection and prevention of chronic diseases, contributing to a healthier community.
