CSRG Moves to Mashinani for Climate Change Sensitization

The Civil Society Reference Group has called on stakeholders to move with speed and enhance environmental awareness at grassroots level a move that will ensure climate change injustices are addressed.

Speaking in Bungoma Western region the Civil Society Reference Group president David Otieno pinpointed the need to effectively operationalize the Climate Change Act to enhance funding.

“It is our wish that grassroots and stakeholder engagement is enhanced so that we can realize proper policies and funding model for a healthy ecosystem. CSRG as an organization will continue with its sensitization agenda so that the rights of peasants are also taken care of.” Otieno said.

The sensitization programme   is expected to continue this week in Trans nzoia and later on Vihiga and Kakamega counties.
