The initiative targeted the villages of Kate, Antut, Bori, and Dadach Lakole, where water scarcity remains a major challenge due to persistent drought conditions.

By supplying clean water, KDF aims to improve living conditions, promote sustainable land use practices, and enhance cooperation between the military and local communities.

Speaking during the exercise, Major John Kossi, the Officer Commanding Moyale FOB, expressed gratitude to the local community for their continued collaboration in security matters.

He further highlighted the importance of preventing bushfires, which are often caused by human activities and threaten the region’s already limited natural resources.

This intervention is part of KDF’s broader efforts to support arid and semi-arid communities affected by climate change.

Local leaders welcomed the initiative, acknowledging that access to clean water is critical for survival and agricultural development.

Community members also pledged to work together to conserve the environment and maintain peace in the region.

The KDF’s involvement in such humanitarian efforts continues to strengthen its bond with civilian populations while addressing pressing challenges in drought-hit areas.
