Speaking during an exclusive interview on NewsLine Media TV, Wangoro urged citizens to remain united and reject divisive politics.

“President Ruto has a clear agenda for Kenya. Let’s give him time to fulfill his promises and transform our country instead of engaging in unnecessary political battles,” Wangoro stated.

Wangoro dismissed premature discussions about the 2027 general elections, arguing that leaders should focus on development rther than early campaigns.

He urged politicians to concentrate on service delivery and avoid distractions that could slow down progress.

“We should stop politicking about 2027 and instead work towards improving the lives of Kenyans. Our leaders must unite and focus on economic growth and infrastructure development,” he added.

The MP hopeful took a swipe at Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of dividing the Mount Kenya region instead of fostering unity.

Wangoro claimed that Gachagua lacks the political influence necessary to lead the region and dismissed his rumored plan to form a new political party.

“Gachagua’s brand of politics is outdated. If he forms a party, it will not gain traction because the people of Mount Kenya want development, not political sideshows,” Wangoro remarked.

Wangoro instead threw his weight behind the current deputy president Kithure Kindiki, describing him as a unifying leader who has the interests of the people at heart. He urged Mount Kenya leaders to rally behind Kindiki, whom he believes represents the future of the region.

“Kindiki has shown great leadership. He is focused on national unity and security, making him the right person to lead our region,” he said.

He also advised former President Uhuru Kenyatta to steer clear of active politics and instead focus on mentoring young leaders.

Wangoro acknowledged Kenyatta’s contributions to the nation but insisted that his involvement in current political affairs could derail progress.

“We respect Uhuru Kenyatta as our leader, but his time in active politics is over. He should guide the next generation of leaders and support the government for the sake of national unity,” he urged.

On matters of healthcare, Wangoro encouraged Kenyans to embrace the new Social Health Authority (SHA), assuring them that the government is committed to strengthening the healthcare system.

“The SHA is a transformative program. I urge all Kenyans to register without fear, as the government is working to ensure that healthcare services become more accessible and efficient,” he stated.

Wangoro’s remarks come amid shifting political dynamics, with leaders realigning themselves ahead of the next election cycle.
