Karen MCA Antony Maragu has put on notice Chief Officer for Environment Geoffrey Mosiria over demolitions that happened in Galleria on Thursday.
The MCA while addressing the affected traders accused the County officials of playing hidden cards stressing that they had an earlier agreement that no demolition will be effected until the Karen Market is completed.
Police contingent together with City Inspectorate Officers yesterday flocked Galleria area to effect an eviction order of small scale traders in the area.

“You came here and we the people pleaded with you not evict or demolish any of our business premise in Karen until the Karen Market is completed. At what time did this position change? We can cry foul today but what is clear is that even the Governor himself need your vote.” Maragu told the media.
“We want to ask the governor to stop all the demolitions in Karen and call to order Chief Officer Mosiria.Instead the County should direct that energy towards completion of Karen Market. Meanwhile from tomorrow we shall go back to Galleria and continue with our business as usual.’’ He added.
