PS Geoffrey Kaituko and CS Mvurya Discuss Youth Empowerment in Maritime Sector

Nairobi, Kenya – Principal Secretary for Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Geoffrey Kaituko, met with Youth Affairs CS Ababu Mvurya to discuss expanding opportunities for young people in the maritime sector.
Kaituko praised the National Youth Enterprise Development Fund for its role in empowering seafarers through funding and training, helping to create employment in the industry. CS Mvurya pledged to expand the program to benefit youth not only in maritime but also in other key economic sectors.
The meeting reinforced the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, with a focus on skills development, policy strengthening, and increased access to funding. By supporting young professionals in high-potential industries, the collaboration aims to boost employment and economic participation across Kenya.
