Orange Democratic Movement leaders in Busia County have now declared not to attend the ODM 20th anniversary over choice of venue.
According to ODM Busia County Chairman Geoffrey Odanga, they are not serving interests of Governor Paul Otuoma but the party.
He argues that Otuoma has hijacked ODM function setting venue at Bukiri his former Primary School deep in their village shunning other communities who could have easily access the event at the famous Busia Stadium.
“This party belongs to the people not an individual so the Venue for the event must be in town not in someone’s rural home this wouldn’t happen under our watch because of someone’s selfish interest,’’ Odanga reiterated.
“We have people from Busia Town,border,Matayos ,Teso all Members of ODM who want to be part of this event who will facilitate for their transports and other inconveniences. The Party must step in and ensure that this event is held in Busia Town so that our people can conveniently access the same.” He added.
