Ruiru, Kenya – The Ruiru Affordable Housing Project, launched in March 2023, is set for completion by March 2026, according to Principal Secretary for Housing Charles Hinga.

The 12-floor development will feature 1,050 modern housing units, catering to diverse family needs. The units include:

30 bedsitters

40 one-bedroom apartments

60 compact two-bedroom units

504 standard two-bedroom units

336 two-bedroom ensuite units

80 three-bedroom apartments

Each wing will have two lifts, while the project will also include a kindergarten, a commercial wing with shops, and a clinic, ensuring a holistic living environment.

For Ruiru, a rapidly growing industrial hub, the project is a game-changer, providing affordable housing, creating jobs, and boosting local businesses. It has also become a learning hub, offering industrial attachment opportunities for students in construction-related fields.
