Kenya School of Government Launches Women’s Empowerment Fellowship

Nairobi, Kenya – The Kenya School of Government (KSG) has unveiled a bold new initiative to empower young women across Kenya, reinforcing its commitment to gender inclusivity and public sector transformation.
At a high-level conference, KSG Director General Prof. Mohammed Nura launched the First Ladies Young Women Capacity Development Fellowship Program, a six-month training and mentorship initiative targeting young female leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from all 47 counties.

“Our goal is to equip young women with the tools to thrive as entrepreneurs and changemakers,” said Prof. Nura.
The program, officially inaugurated by Her Excellency the First Lady, will soon open for applications, with eligibility details published in MyGov newspaper.
Key partners at the event included UN Women, Beyond Zero Initiative, and the State Department for Gender, all reinforcing Kenya’s commitment to women’s empowerment and economic inclusion.
Prof. Nura reaffirmed KSG’s mission to drive gender equality, eliminate harmful practices like GBV and FGM, and ensure that women play a central role in Kenya’s economic and social development
