Bungoma Industrial Park to Be Ready by June, Says PS Mukhwana

The Bungoma County Aggregated Industrial Park (CAIP) will be completed by June, Trade and Industrialization PS Juma Mukhwana has announced.
During an inspection in Sang’alo, Mukhwana noted that despite initial delays caused by tough terrain and heavy boulders, construction is now on track.
The KSh 500 million project is a partnership between the National and Bungoma County governments, aimed at promoting industrialization and value addition. Initially planned for 18 sites, it’s now being implemented in 13 locations.
Governor Kenneth Lusaka praised the initiative, urging locals to embrace small-scale manufacturing to spur economic growth and create jobs. “Bungoma is an agricultural hub, and this park will unlock new opportunities,” he said.
Esther Ngari, KEBS Managing Director, encouraged manufacturers to seek product certification to boost market competitiveness, adding that KEBS has opened a Bungoma office for easier access to its services.
Once complete, the park is expected to transform Bungoma into a regional hub for manufacturing and value addition, creating thousands of jobs.
