The Petitioners are citing  overwhelming illegalities, irregularities and circumvention of the law that was allegedly done by Dagane in  his capacity as a  member of the Nairobi City County Government COVID-19 Emergency team committee.

The Petitioners state that there was illegal, unlawful and irregular misuse and mismanagement of public funds and resources by the Dagane who is the main respondent.

Further The petitioner claims that Dagane  was once  suspended by former  Governor Mike Sonko over  incompetence while serving as the CEC for  Health.

This is in regard to   a  tragedy that happened at Precious Talents Schools in August 2019.

“The Respondent has been shortlisted for interview on 14th April 2025 for the position of IEBC commissioner.  The Petitioners state that the Respondent has therefore disregarded the whole of chapter six of the constitution,” the court petition reads.

“In the whole, the Respondent has disregarded the whole of chapter 6 of the Constitution which requires persons both state and public officers to uphold integrity,” the petition further reads.

He is being accused of falling short of stipulations for State officers to respect the values and principles of the Constitution.

Dagane is among 17  candidates who will face the IEBC interviews that will begin on Monday.

He prides himself of 17 years of leadership and management experience both in the public and private sectors.
