Nairobi City County Assembly Majority Leader Peter Imwatok has told off Principal Administrative Secretary Authur Osiya against seeking political seats back at home saying Teso community is not ‘’retirement benefit authority”
Speaking in Teso, Imwatok says the time has come for the community to be led by young and energetic leaders and not those who have retired from government service.
“They must know that this place is not a retirement benefit authority area where they come and dump themselves after doing nothing with their position in government.” Imwatok said.
Osiya has been putting his strings together to give a stab for Busia gubernatorial post come 2027.
“Teso Community don’t be duped by this people let them retire in peace and go home.” He stated.
Imwatok has emerged as one of the Teso favourite political spokesman with many viewing him as influential, competent and combative to take on current Busia County Governor Paul Otuoma who has since lost People’s support.
