PS Roseline Njogu Engages Mercy Kamanja on Diaspora Investment and Policy Reforms

Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, Roseline Njogu, hosted Mercy Kamanja, a Scotland-based Kenyan diaspora, for discussions on diaspora engagement, investment, and policy reforms.
Key topics included proposed electoral reforms, the Kenya Diaspora Policy 2024, and initiatives supporting Kenyans abroad. Kamanja emphasized the diaspora’s role in economic growth through investment and knowledge transfer, encouraging more participation in Kenya’s development.
PS Njogu praised the diaspora as global brand ambassadors and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting diaspora-led investments and fostering international partnerships.
The meeting, attended by Foreign Service officials David Mugane and John Muinde, underscored Kenya’s commitment to strengthening ties with its diaspora community and maximizing their contributions to national progress.
