Kenya Advances in Carbon Markets
Meanwhile, Kenya is strengthening its role in global carbon markets. The Multi-Sectoral Technical Committee (MSTC), formed under the Climate Change (Carbon Markets) Regulations, 2024, is advising on carbon project assessments. Gazetted on November 22, 2024, the MSTC is participating in a Nairobi workshop organized by NEMA and UNDP Kenya.
The workshop focuses on climate policies, carbon market regulations, and strategies to enhance Kenya’s climate action efforts.
