National Land Commission CEO Engages Senate on Land Governance

National Land Commission (NLC) CEO CHRP Kabale Tache Arero engaged with the Senate Standing Committee on Land, Environment, and Natural Resources during their Induction and Work Planning Retreat in Mombasa. Representing the NLC Chair, Arero outlined the Commission’s strategic priorities, challenges, and legislative gaps in land management.
Arero emphasized the NLC’s commitment to sustainable land governance, stressing the need for reforms to address inefficiencies, historical injustices, and land disputes. She highlighted resource mobilization and improved coordination as key to overcoming these challenges.
The meeting focused on pending legislation and policy reforms, with Arero reaffirming NLC’s collaboration with the Senate Committee to align land governance with national development goals.
