The Kenya School of Government hosted the official launch of the electronic government procurement (e-GP) system, a key milestone in the government’s digitization agenda aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public procurement.

Correctional Services Principal Secretary Dr. Salome Beacco was among senior government officials and stakeholders present at the event. The e-GP system will enable real-time regulatory monitoring and intervention, reducing inefficiencies and corruption in public procurement.

Suppliers will now be required to register on the e-GP platform, submit bids online, track tender statuses, and manage contracts digitally through an integrated contract management module. The system is expected to streamline operations and promote fair competition in government tenders.

The launch aligns with the government’s broader digital transformation strategy, ensuring faster procurement processes and enhanced oversight across various departments.
