Kenya National Police DT SACCO’s CSR Initiative Uplifts Needy Students in Nairobi

The Kenya National Police DT SACCO reaffirmed its commitment to transforming lives through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by hosting its annual mentorship, support and coaching program at the Nairobi Safari Club. The event brought together bright and needy students of deceased SACCO members, offering them a platform to receive guidance, inspiration and practical tools to shape their futures. The sponsorship program has benefited 281 students in total, 50 are currently in university, 48 awaiting admission to the university, 128 in secondary school and 55 have successfully completed their education.
The program, a cornerstone of KNPDTS’s member-centred approach, is designed to uplift vulnerable students by providing not just financial support but also emotional and intellectual encouragement. Through interactive sessions with accomplished professionals and SACCO leaders, the students were equipped with life skills, career advice and strategies to overcome challenges. The event highlighted the SACCO’s broader mission of creating sustainable value, bridging gaps in access to education and ensuring that children of the deceased members have the opportunity to pursue their dreams despite adversity.
David Mategwa, National Chairman of KNPDTS, added a heartfelt assurance. “At Kenya National Police DT SACCO, we are more than an organization. We are a family. To every student here, know that you are not alone. We will stand by you as your parents, supporting you with care and resources through secondary and university education.”
This initiative showcases the SACCO’s dedication to empowering the next generation and fostering unity for prosperity across Kenyan communities. KNPDTS will continue to lead by example, proving that collective effort and compassion can drive meaningful change.
