Ann Wamuratha Hosts Empowerment Drive for Women and Youth in Limuru

Kiambu Woman Representative Hon. Ann Wamuratha hosted a major empowerment event in Limuru Sub-county under the Wezesha Mama, Inua Jamii, and NGAAF initiatives, focusing on uplifting women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
The event brought together beneficiaries from across Kiambu County to receive tools, training, and resources aimed at strengthening livelihoods and encouraging economic self-reliance. Wamuratha urged participants to take full advantage of the support provided, emphasizing that “empowering a woman uplifts a community and transforms a nation.”
The event drew prominent national leaders who echoed the message of inclusive growth. Attendees included Majority Leader Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah, Hon. Kawanjiku (Kiambaa), Hon. Githua Wamacukuru (Kabete), Hon. Faith Gitau (Nyandarua), Hon. Jane Kagiri (Laikipia), Hon. Beatrice Adagala (Vihiga), Hon. Beatrice Kimei (Kericho), and Hon. Esther Passaris (Nairobi), among others.
Their collective presence highlighted a shared national commitment to grassroots development through affirmative action and empowerment programs.
The Wezesha Mama and Inua Jamii initiatives, implemented through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), have become key pillars in addressing inequality and creating opportunities for marginalized groups. Through continued collaboration, Hon. Wamuratha expressed confidence in building a more inclusive and resilient future.
