This marks the second phase of the bursary program, following a previous KES 22 million disbursement supporting day scholars earlier in the year. Phase Three, targeting boarding school, university, college, and vocational students, is scheduled for May 2025.

“Our commitment to education is stronger than ever,” Hon. Kiragu said. “No student in Limuru should be left behind due to lack of school fees.”

In a further boost to student welfare, the MP also announced the rollout of the Tap to Eat school feeding programme for all day secondary schools in Limuru, starting this term. The initiative aims to improve attendance and performance among vulnerable learners.

Quoting Nelson Mandela, he added: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

The event was attended by key leaders including Kabete MP Hon. Githua Wamacukuru, Kiambu MCA Hon. Pacifica Ongecha, school principals, NG-CDF committee members, and parents of the beneficiaries.

Through sustained investment in education and student welfare, Hon. Kiragu’s leadership is helping shape a more inclusive and empowered future for Limuru. As he concluded: “Our journey continues—and no student will be left behind.”
