PS Fikirini Jacobs: KIPPRA 2025 to Spotlight Youth Jobs and the Power of the Creative Economy

Principal Secretary for Youths and the Creative Economy, Fikirini Jacobs, has confirmed his department’s active participation in the upcoming 8th KIPPRA Annual Regional Conference, set for May 21–23, 2025, at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi.
The conference, organized by the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), will bring together policymakers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and innovation leaders to map out actionable pathways for youth employment in Kenya.
Jacobs, who hosted KIPPRA’s Executive Director Dr. Eldah Onsumo and her team, welcomed the invitation and hailed the conference as a bold platform to elevate youth-focused dialogue into transformative policy.
“This is more than a conversation—it’s a call to action,” he said, noting that the Creative Economy will take center stage, with focus areas including digital innovation, music, arts, culture, youth data, and economic inclusion.
With youth unemployment a national concern, Jacobs emphasized the urgency of investing in creative industries and scalable solutions that meet the realities of Kenya’s young, dynamic population.
“Let’s meet there and shape the future together,” he urged.
