Kabete MP Hon. Githua Wamacukuru today led an inspection tour of the Kibiku-Gathiga-Njathaini road project, a key infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic activity across the constituency.
Joined by contractors and local residents, the MP closely examined progress on the Kibiku-Ithanga stretch, engaging stakeholders on construction timelines and quality standards. The project, once completed, is expected to drastically reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, and improve access to essential services including markets, schools, and health facilities.
“I’m satisfied with the progress so far, but we must stay the course to ensure timely and high-quality completion,” said Hon. Wamacukuru. “This road will unlock economic opportunities for our people—especially farmers, traders, and small business owners.”
The MP praised the contractor’s efforts and thanked residents for their patience and support throughout the process. Locals expressed optimism, noting that the improved road would boost property values, encourage new investment, and make the area more accessible.
The Kibiku-Gathiga-Njathaini road is part of the MP’s broader development agenda focused on infrastructure, access, and inclusive growth. With the project on track, Kabete edges closer to a more connected and economically vibrant future.
